TOLEDO, Ohio — An 18-year-old woman crossing Central Avenue in west Toledo Thursday afternoon was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was struck by two vehicles.

According to a police report, the woman, who is from Toledo, was crossing the street at the Densmore Drive intersection by the Westgate Village Shopping Center around 4 p.m. when a vehicle heading west on Central Avenue hit her. The impact threw her into the westbound curb lane, where she was struck by a second vehicle.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 44-year-old from Toledo, nor the driver of the second vehicle, a 21-year-old from Toledo, and their passenger were injured in the collisions.
