The love for Puerto Rico is going deep at the Latin Grammys . Rauw Alejandro took the stage Thursday night to perform a medley of songs from both his nominated Cosa Nuestra album and its prequel Capitulo 0 , inspired by the roots of Puerto Rican music.
Rauw opened the show with the saxy and sexy “Khe?” Thematically, the performance tapped into the cultural traditions of the island as he was surrounded by bomba drums and dancers and vejigantes while he performed “Carita Linda,” the opening track of Capitulo 0. Then, he continued with “Silencio” and “Falsedad” from the newest project.
At this year’s awards, Alejandro’s album Cosa Nuestra is nominated for Album of the Year. The musician’s song “Baja Pa’ Acá” featuring Alexis & Fido is also up for Best Reggaeton Performance
