First reported death from meat allergy caused by tick bite

Researchers have linked the death of a 47-year-old man in New Jersey to alpha-gal syndrome, which usually starts with a bite from a lone star tick. The man died four hours after eating a hamburger. NBC News’ Anne Thompson.
