UNION TWP. — Northwest Area held a public meeting on Thursday to share information regarding the proposed consolidation of the district, including the closure of its intermediate school. Superintendent Joseph Long shared details of the proposal with community members, and several parents and taxpayers shared thoughts and concerns on the plan.
The Northwest Area Governing Board of Education will vote on the authorization to explore the potential consolidation plan at its next meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20.
