DENTON, Texas — A Denton service road is completely shut down after an accident involving two 18-wheelers, police said.

According to the Denton Police Department, two semi-trucks crashed into one another in the southbound lanes of I-35 near Oak Street. Police said the service road is expected to be closed for several hours.

One driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to police.

About an hour later, four miles north, Denton police responded to a vehicle fully engulfed in fire. It happened in the 3400 block of N Masch Branch Road. Police said the driver was sent to the hospital in critical condition.

Both directions on N. Masch Branch Road are expected to be shut down for several hours, police said.
