SOMERSET, Mass. —
A deadly wrong-way crash on Interstate 195 in Somerset, Massachusetts, on Thursday night is under investigation.
According to a Massachusetts State Police spokesperson, three cars were involved in the collision, which occurred around 7:45 p.m.
Investigators say the crash was caused by a wrong-way driver who sustained critical injuries and later died.
The identity of the deceased driver is not being released at this time.
Officials did not say if anyone else was injured.
All eastbound lanes of Interstate 195 were closed to give police a chance to investigate.
Traffic is passing by in the breakdown lane, according to authorities.
No further information was immediately available.
