Falsification: South Belvoir Boulevard
Officers stopped a van for speeding through a school zone Nov. 5 and were given a false name by the driver.
When the man, 24, was identified, it was learned that he had no driver’s license and was in the country illegally.
He was cited for several traffic violations and for falsification.
He was subsequently turned over to the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol after the agency sent an agent to the scene to take custody of him.
The van was towed and two passengers were released.
Theft: Warrensville Center Road
A woman reported Nov. 5 that her purse had gone missing while she was shopping at Walmart.
When she found it, there were several items missing, including a passport, credit cards and $50 cash.
