DES MOINES, Iowa ( IOWA CAPITAL DISPATCH ) - Members of the Iowa Board of Regents called Thursday for further study of academic programs and their value when it comes to workforce alignment, enrollment and social good after receiving a report diving into such topics.
Board staff, with the help of internal and external partners and resources, developed a report on workforce alignment of academic programs after a February directive from Board President Sherry Bates. While the huge amount of data and information compiled in the report didn’t answer all of her questions, Board Chief Academic Officer Rachel Boon said it is helping her ask better ones.
