Officials said 10 people—eight girls and two adults—were targeted by AI-generated nude images at Sixth Ward Middle School.
One victim was initially expelled after hitting a boy who allegedly shared the images, and her expulsion, along with the school’s handling of the incident, has prompted threats and harassment against public officials and administrators, according to Sheriff Craig Webre.
On Thursday, Webre and Schools Superintendent Jarod Martin issued a joint statement addressing "rumors" and "misinformation" surrounding the case.
