HOUSTON - The longest government shutdown in American history has officially come to an end after 43 days, and the Department of Homeland Security says it is taking steps to support TSA agents who "went above and beyond" during the unprecedented closure.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem held a news conference outlining new measures to recognize the Transportation Security Administration employees who continued working without pay.
