While the Cubs met with Kyle Tucker’s camp in Las Vegas, the belief is that the Cubs understand they won’t be high bidder and he’ll very likely go elsewhere .
The Jays, Dodgers, Giants and maybe Phillies make sense for Tucker.
I’ve heard speculation about the Mets or Yankees for Tucker, but they have two pretty fair right fielders — fellows by the name of Juan Soto and Aaron Judge. Hard to see that.
The Phillies’ first business is to try to lock up star DH Kyle Schwarber and star catcher J.T. Realmuto, and if they can, star pitcher Ranger Suarez, too.
