More than a month after a 43-year-old man was fatally stabbed on the Far South Coast, police have broken their silence.
Police have addressed the media after a search was conducted to locate potential evidence that may have been discarded after the suspected murder of a man in Bega on October 6.
At Nowra Police Station on Friday, November 14, Superintendent Darren Brand, Commander of South Coast Police District, revealed details regarding the suspected murder and this week's search.
"Monday, October 6, 2025, emergency services were called to East Street, Bega, following reports of a physical altercation between two groups," he said.
"Officers attached to the South Coast Police District attended and on arrival, found the body of a 43-year-old man in the park suffering from stab wounds
