FLAT ROCK – The twin towers of Lily Klein and Sarah Giroux rang up 15 kills each as Flat Rock won the first Regional volleyball championship in school history Thursday night.
Klein and Giroux took turns dominating at the net in a 25-23, 26-24, 25-22 sweep of Milan in the Regional Flat Rock hosted on Thursday, Nov. 13.
“They are our go-to girls in the front row,” Flat Rock coach Morgan Delhey said. “When they are on, there is not a team in our division that can stop them.”
St. Mary Catholic Central also won a Regional title Thursday, sweeping Hanover-Horton 25-22, 25-21, 26-24 in the finals at Clinton.
The Kestrels were down 24-19 in the third set but won by scoring the final seven points of the night.
