Sophia Bush made significantly less money during her One Tree Hill era than many fans might expect.

The 43-year-old actress spoke at a Tech Futures panel , where she opened up about the major pay gap between her and her co-stars.

“Everybody was coming from something,” she said, noting that Hilarie Burton was a former MTV VJ and Bethany Joy Lenz was a soap opera star, while Sophia had been the philanthropy chair of her sorority at the University of Southern California.

“So, the difference in pay scale was wild,” she said (via E! News ).
