A campaign to save the Small Things cat adoption centre in the city’s west end is now more than halfway toward its fundraising goal.
Small Things CATS (Cat Adoption Team Sudbury) has been “a team of volunteers for over 15 years in the community of Sudbury,” write Ashley Coats and Rebecca Rock at a GoFundMe page they launched late last month.

“At the peak of our operations we were adopting out 300-plus cats a year, which helped us keep the doors open,” the campaign organizers note. “The past few years, we just haven’t had the same adoption numbers. As a result, our finances are struggling and we are worried we won’t be able to continue our efforts into 2026.”
