According to a news release, the state of Ohio has received federal guidance to distribute full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to recipients.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) announced that it received guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service (FNS).
Those who receive SNAP benefits should see their full amount of benefits in the month of November, though an expected issuance date is not stated in the release.
To comply with the new guidance from FNS, Ohio will calculate the full benefit for households that already have received a partial amount of SNAP benefits.
However, for households that have not received any benefits, the amount calculated will be sent to Ohio's Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) vend
