Cicero, N.Y. — A 67-year-old man died in a rollover crash Thursday night on Route 481 south in Cicero, according to state police.

Around 5:22 p.m., the man was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Express van south on Interstate 481 when he attempted to take the Exit 10 off-ramp to Bear Road, said Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a state police spokesperson.

The van left the east shoulder, overturned and came to rest on its passenger side in a ditch, troopers said.

The driver was found unresponsive inside the van. A NAVAC Ambulance responded, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Troopers have not released the man’s name as the investigation continues.

The southbound ramp to Bear Road was closed for more than two hours, according to 511NY.
