Imphal, November 13 2025: Kanglei Mime Theatre Repertory, Imphal on Thursday inaugurated a 4-day "Festival of Mime, Folk Song & Art Exhibition" at its auditorium in Langthabal Kunja.

The festival was organised under the sponsorship of the National Presence Scheme of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The inaugural function was graced by Yumnam Khemchand Singh, MLA, Singjamei AC and Karam Shyam Singh, MLA, Langthabal AC as the chief guest & president respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Yumnam Khemchand said the NEP 2020 advocates for a holistic and multidisciplinary education that integrates various art forms, including theatre and drama, into the mainstream curriculum.
