CHEYENNE — U.S. Gold Corp., a gold exploration and development company, has announced an agreement to acquire a 10-acre parcel of land to aid in the construction and operation of the planned CK Gold project.

U.S. Gold Corp acquired 100% of the mineral lease to the project property, located in the Silver Crown Mining district 20 miles west of Cheyenne, in 2016. The company started exploring the possibility of mining the gold and copper deposit in 2020, according to the CK Gold website .

The CK Gold project would be an open-pit mine, employing froth flotation instead of cyanide to extract the minerals.
