MINNEAPOLIS — Blair Ahlquist is the youngest competitor in the Class 2A State diving competition, but she’s not diving like it.
The Brainerd Warrior eighth-grader is sitting 10th out of 32 divers following the first two rounds of the Class 2A State Diving Prelims Thurday, Nov. 13, at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
Ahlquist, who had never set foot in the U of M Aquatic Center before, opened in 12th place after the five-dive preliminary round. She scored 161.6 points, which was just seven points out of sixth place, held by Sada Gustafson of Two Rivers.
