GRESHAM, Oregon — The third and final suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of a 13-year-old boy who was fatally wounded by stray gunfire through the wall of a Gresham apartment this spring.
The U.S. Marshals Service arrested 17-year-old Terrell Coy on Thursday afternoon at an apartment in Southeast Portland, according to the Gresham Police Department. The agency said community tips led them to Coy's arrest.
On April 27, Liam Spahnle-Bailey was sleeping at his dad's apartment in the early morning hours, planning to go on a snowboarding trip with his dad later that day. A shooting broke out in the adjacent unit, with stray bullets coming through the wall and hitting Spahnle-Bailey, who died of his injuries at the hospital.
