After what was described as a season of growth, grit and heart, the Sherwood Park U13 Rams team has captured the Tier 3 Capital District Minor Football Association (CDMFA) title.

Playing in the nine-a-side category, the Rams captured the league championship with a 42-22 win over the Millwoods Grizzlies at Johnny Bright Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 2.

“Our championship game against the Millwoods Grizzlies was everything youth football should be — fast, physical, and full of heart,” said longtime Rams head coach and U13 co-head coach Marlow Weldon . “The boys came out ready, set the tone early with solid defense, and executed on both sides of the ball.”
