MOSES LAKE, Wash. -- The Moses Lake Education Association members authorized a strike should an agreement not be made with the School District by midnight on Friday, Nov. 28.
MLEA says it has been bargaining with the Moses Lake School District since June, but the two groups have failed to reach a tentative agreement.
“Our students are losing ground,” said Moses Lake EA President Heather Whittall. “For the second year in a row, teachers have lost prep time and our students are receiving less instructional time, while the District chooses to grow it’s savings account instead of prioritizing spending where students need it most, in their classrooms.”
