During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Damian Anderson, a former batterer, shared his transformative experience at an event in Daytona Beach aimed at educating and providing resources for those affected by domestic violence.
Organizations such as The TurnAround Foundation, Free Spirit Evangelist Outreach Ministries and Cradles of Greatness, gathered at Daytona Beach Garden Apartments to educate and provide resources for those affected by domestic violence or who may know someone who is.
Carolyn Green, community coordinator at Daytona Beach Garden Apartments, highlighted the importance of these efforts, particularly in lower-income, subsidized housing areas where awareness is often lacking.
Residents heard from domestic violence survivors and Damian Anderson, a former aggressor.
