"I will come to you in the middle of the night and cut your head off."
That was just one of the threats Daniel Billings, 30, made to his ex-girlfriend Molly Ticehurst before killing her in her Forbes home in 2024.
Having already killed her pet dog with a hammer when she broke up with him the previous year, on April 21, 2024, Billings' threats were realised when, wallowing in self-pity after being charged with domestic violence offences, he smashed his way into her home, brutally stabbing her 15 times with a knife.
On Friday, November 14, 2025, 18 months after her death, Billings pleaded guilty to her murder before Magistrate Michael Maher .
