NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A 70-year-old man has died following a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 24 in Nashville on Thursday, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
MNPD reports that the crash happened on I-24 West near the Briley Parkway exit at around 1:45 p.m.

Preliminary investigation into the crash shows that a 70-year-old Fairview man was driving a Dodge Caravan in the right-hand exit lane to Briley Parkway when he suddenly merged back into the left lane.
His vehicle hit a westbound Ram 3500 pickup truck, causing his caravan to travel across the interstate and hit the driver’s side door of a westbound Ford F-550.
The 70-year-old died at the scene. No other serious injuries were
