WOODBURN, Ore — The city of Woodburn immediately suspended its Flock Safety camera system for at least 60 days after residents raised concerns that federal immigration authorities could access the data.

The city council made the decision following extensive public comment at Tuesday night's meeting, according to a city statement released this week .

"The City of Woodburn is committed to keeping our community safe while respecting the concerns of our community members," Mayor Frank Lonergan said. "Based on community input, pausing the Flock camera system is a prudent step."
