Rangers legend Graeme Souness broke down as he begged MSPs for better specialist care in Scotland for people living with the pain of ‘butterfly skin’.
The football legend, who has campaigned for those affected by rare epidermolysis bullosa (EB) since being moved by the plight of 17-year-old Isla Grist, met with the health minister and other politicians and families at the Scottish Parliament to call for urgent change.
The 72-year-old, who is now Vice President of ‘butterfly skin’ charity Debra UK, was filled with emotion as he shared the heartbreak of families living with the cruel disorder - that can cause the skin to blister at the slightest touch.
