SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Back in May, Notre Dame football captain Adon Shuler started the non-profit ‘Adon Shuler Foundation’.
The foundation supports the youth in Shuler’s hometown of Irvington, New Jersey.
16 News Now stopped by football practice to talk with Schuler.
It was clear at practice and it’s clear at every Notre Dame football game when Shuler steps on the field for the Irish, he makes a big impact.
Now, he strives to make an equally big impact off the field with the Adon Shuler Foundation.
Shuler says he feels proud to be “a tough jersey kid” from Irvington.
“This is where I grew up. It’s my home. And that’s been dearest to me my whole life. And it’s definitely a place that taught me many, many, many life lessons and helped me to strive and become the man I am today,” sa
