ORANGE, Ohio -- In response to a request by Councilwoman Kim Ullner, Village Council has given the Planning and Zoning Commission the OK to try to improve the language in the village’s legislation regarding the requirements for homeowners who want to install solar panels on their properties.
Council discussed the issue on Wednesday (Nov. 12) after Ullner brought it up at the previous meeting Nov. 5.
“My understanding is there’s language in the ordinance that specifies how solar panels should be employed by residents, and you’re concerned that it’s too easy to get around the requirements,” Council President Brent Silver told Ullner.
Ullner, who serves as council’s representative to the Planning and Zoning Commission, said that was correct.
