Orange County got an update on the transportation projects in District 6 Thursday evening.
The updates included Americans with Disabilities Act improvements and stormwater improvements to an International Drive and Sand Lake Road pedestrian bridge.
A total of 1.4 million people live in Orange County, and the county gets about 75 million visitors.
Safety is always a priority for county leaders and the Transportation Mobility Advisory Commission, or TransMac.
The purpose of TransMAC is to hold public hearings like this at the Barnett Park Recreation Center in Orlando.
TransMac makes recommendations to the Orange County Board of Commissioners regarding future transportation and mobility projects and reviews past transportation expenditures.
