FLORISSANT, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Thomas Woytus’ daughters, Christine Jones and Elizabeth Woytus, said their father was extremely familiar with the roads of Florissant and went for walks on a nightly basis.
“It was a relaxing thing for him at the end of the day,” Jones said. “He lived in this neighborhood for over 30 years.”
Woytus said she often worried about her father taking the route.
“I do notice the sidewalks up Elizabeth are really close to the roadways and the roads already narrow enough,” she said. “There was always the thought in the back of your head that something could happen, but you just hope and pray that it doesn’t.”
The family tells First Alert 4 Woytus was crossing Dunn Road on October 29 on one of his walks when a car hit him. The driver stayed at the scene. Woytus
