DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A man is wanted after deputies said he was caught beating, chasing and dragging a woman across Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach on Thursday.

In a release , the sheriff’s office said a deputy saw the incident as it was happening and stepped in, but the man — identified as Scott Glen Knowlton — took off running.

Body-worn camera footage shows a deputy asking the woman where she was hurt.

“My face,” she says.

The deputy can then be heard saying that her chin looked “a little cut up.”

“He turned her around, and he was dragging her,” another deputy states.
