QUINCY (WGEM) - Be prepared to hear the bells. Thursday morning, the Quincy Salvation Army kickstarted the Christmas holiday season.

At the Kroc Center, The Salvation Army launched their 2025 Red Kettle Campaign. This campaign helps those in need in a long-standing tradition since 1893 in Quincy. They announced their goal for the season Thursday.

This year’s co-chairs for The Salvation Army Christmas Fund Drive, Donna and Bryan Smith, shared their goal.

“Last year’s chair person, uh, nominated us to be the chair persons this year. And they contacted us, and of course, we are happy to help give back to the community,” said Donna Smith. “And the Red Kettle Campaign is a really important part of The Salvation Army raising money for the programs throughout the year.”
