New BYU basketball player Kennard Davis Jr. was arrested on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence Thursday afternoon after being involved in a two-car crash in Provo Thursday morning, according to a news release from the Provo Police Department.
Davis, 20, sustained “minor injuries” in the crash and was transported to the Provo Police Department for further investigation, according to Provo Police public information officer Janna-Lee Holland.
Holland confirmed that Davis is a member of the BYU basketball team, citing discussions with investigating officers. She said a further report on the incident would not be released until Friday, at the earliest.
