ANDERSON, Texas (KBTX) - Update: The Grimes County Sheriff says the teen has been located. She’s a runaway who will be returned to Montgomery County.

There is a search happening in Anderson for a 15-year-old.

The Grimes County Sheriff says a deputy conducted a traffic stop Thursday evening on the teen who was operating an ATV on SH 90 and FM 149.

During the encounter, the teen fled on foot. Based on the information she provided, there is concern for her welfare. Deputies are actively working to locate her. At this time, there is no immediate danger to the public.

The female is believed to be 15 years of age with dark hair, wearing a white tank top and blue jeans.
