MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The New England Patriots secured their eighth straight win Thursday night, beating the New York Jets 27-14.

Rookie running back Treveyon Henderson scored all three of New Englands touchdowns, running in two scores and catching another from quarterback Drake Maye.

The Jets struck first, scoring on their opening drive when quarterback Justin Fields ran in a touchdown to give New York a 7-0 lead.

The Patriots quickly responded. Henderson powered through the line for a 7-yard touchdown to tie the game 7-7 just one minute into the second quarter.

The rookie then scored again after receiving the handoff, giving New England a 14-7 lead.
