BOZEMAN – The C.M. Russell High volleyball team is guaranteed some hardware.
The Rustlers won a pair of elimination games on Thursday, Nov. 13, at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse at the Class AA state tournament, sweeping Missoula Hellgate in three sets before taking down Billings Senior in four frames in the fourth-place game.
CMR (23-6) advances to another loser-out game against Bozeman High (24-4) at 10 a.m. on Friday on the Montana State University campus, with the winner moving on to the title round against Bozeman Gallatin at noon. The team that loses the 10 a.m. matchup will be eliminated but earns third place.
The Rustlers ousted Hellgate, the Western AA’s top team, 25-17, 25-22, 25-8 in their first match of the day on Thursday, with Tayah Osier putting down a team-high 12 kills. Felic
