CLEMSON, S.C. —
(Clemson Athletics) A 16-point, 10-rebound performance from senior guard Mia Moore led Clemson (3-1) to a 78-38 win over American (1-1) Thursday night at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Junior guard/forward Rusne Augustanaite (16 points), senior guard Rachael Rose (11 points), and graduate forward Demeara Hinds (10 points) joined Moore as the four Tigers in double figures.
Clemson’s offense was ignited by a 20-3 run in the second half. The Tigers made a season-high 13 3-pointers, the fourth most in program history. Senior guard/forward Hadley Periman brought in a team-high 10 rebounds, and added eight points of her own on perfect shooting (2-2 3PT, 2-2 FT).
The Tigers held the Eagles to just 27 percent shooting from the field (13-of-48) while forcing 11 turnovers on the night. Cl
