BLOOMFIELD HILLS — All of Bloomfield Hills’ players were already perfectly positioned for a team photo after coming out of the handshake line with Groves.

Only thing is, someone had to inform them that they needed to accept a trophy before they could pose with it.

Eventually, the No. 2 Black Hawks got plenty of photos with their hardware acquired for sweeping the Falcons 25-14, 25-12, 25-14 Tuesday night for the program’s first regional championship.

“It’s all a surreal feeling, because in my past years of volleyball I’ve never gotten this far, always ended my season short,” Black Hawks senior Kayla Nwabueze said. “It’s a really rewarding feeling.”
