Srinagar: As counting of votes progresses for the Budgam bypoll, People’s Democratic Party candidate Aga Syed Muntazir has taken a significant lead of 1091 votes from National Conference candidate Aga Syed Mahmood after the fourth round.

PDP’s Muntazir Mehdi has secured 5,117 votes, while National Conference candidate Aga Syed Mahmood Al-Mosavi has polled 4,026 votes.

Independent candidate Mohd Sameer Bhat follows with 1,862 votes, AIP-backed candidate Nazir Ahmad Khan has bagged 1,407 votes so far, while independent candidate Jibran Dar has got 1,228 v otes—(KNO)
