SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Unity Gardens held its largest annual fundraiser on Thursday night, featuring dishes from 20 top regional chefs.

The Taste of Unity featured tapas-style offerings from area chefs.

The annual fundraiser supports Unity Gardens’ efforts to expand food access through community gardens across the Michiana area.

“We would love to just continue establishing our satellite gardens,” said Selina Alcantar, youth programming and events coordinator. “Most people know us for our main garden on the west side of town. But like I said, all over the Michiana area there are countless volunteers tending to a garden for their greater community. So, working on supporting them, building up that network so that food access spans further and further.”
