GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Five Northwest Vikings high school athletes signed their letters of intent today, celebrating their commitment to compete at the college level.
Track athletes Tessa Scheer and Amarae Krafka headlined the signing ceremony. Both signed Division I letters, with Scheer committing to DePaul and Krafka committing to Nebraska.
Krafka said her visit to Nebraska made her decision clear.
“When I went on my visit there, I loved the coach and I loved the team. They made me feel like I was right at home and they welcomed me. I just felt like it was like meant to be,” Krafka said. “I’m really excited to have more competition to be able to push myself.”
