A drug lord who ran a thriving cocaine and heroin empire with his money-laundering girlfriend while they luxuriated in Thailand has been put behind bars.
Vejay Samuels, 30, managed his profitable criminal business back in the UK whilst living it up on the lam from the police nearly 6,000 miles away.
The court heard how Samuels and his partner Hannah Cwynar, 33, lived an opulent lifestyle, splurging on plush flats and costly activities. Photos show Samuels driving a speedboat and swimming with elephants during his eight-month stint in Thailand before his drug operation was busted by the police.
Detectives found out that he was the brains behind the conspiracy which flooded Nottingham streets with thousands of pounds worth of cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis.
