A crash between a Honda and a Mazda left an 82-year-old woman critically injured in West Hempstead on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 5:30 p.m., Nassau County police said in a release issued Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.

The 82-year-old was driving a 2020 Honda south on Nassau Boulevard when she struck a 2016 Mazda driven by a 28-year-old man heading north, detectives said.

The Honda driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where she is listed in critical but stable condition, according to police.

Her passenger, a 70-year-old woman, and the Mazda driver were also taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment, police said.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
