NEW ORLEANS —
The countdown is on until New Orleans voters decide whether to authorize several propositions, including a $415 million bond.
According to city leaders, all of the propositions are critical to addressing long-standing infrastructure problems, drainage and even completing a long-awaited football stadium project. Advertisement
The Lafitte Greenway stretches more than three miles from the French Quarter to Mid-City, abruptly ending on North Alexander Street.
"It just ends here. They got no really great options and we want to give them a clear path to their destination. What's on prop two is the construction funding to complete the final half mile," said Jason Neville, executive director of the Lafitte Greenway.
Funding to complete the project is wrapped up in Proposition 2
