CBS News Miami received bodycam video of the moments a Margate woman was arrested on a shoplifting charge.
Weeks later, she was taken into custody again — this time for child neglect. Her 10-year-old daughter has been missing for months and is still nowhere to be found.
Margate Police detained Passha Davis back in October after a Dollar Tree employee reported a shoplifter. Bodycam video obtained by CBS News Miami captured what happened next.
"Do me a favor and put your hands behind your back," the police told Davis. "Right now, you are being detained pending a criminal investigation, okay."
"What is the investigation?" Davis asked.
"Possible theft and a battery," police replied.
