First responders surrounded a disoriented man just before noon Wednesday on Harrison Road near the Agape House homeless shelter.
The man had overdosed on opioids, according to an employee of nonprofit shelter operator Urban Alchemy, who said he had used the overdose-reversal drug naloxone to revive the man, potentially saving his life.
Several hours later, emergency medical personnel responded to a second overdose on nearby Rufina Street, and they arrived in response to a third overdose in the area Thursday morning. Each time, Urban Alchemy employees were at the scene to render aid.
