Srinagar, Nov 14: Security forces demolished the Pulwama residence of Dr Umar Nabi, the man identified as the driver of the explosive-laden car used in the deadly Delhi blast, officials said on Friday.

The demolition was carried out during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, soon after investigators confirmed Umar’s identity through DNA samples taken from the blast site and matched with those of his mother.

The high-intensity car blast near the Red Fort on Monday night killed 13 people and left several others injured. Umar was reportedly behind the wheel of the Hyundai i20 packed with explosives.
