CLEVELAND — A former Cleveland Clinic neurologist is fighting to get his medical license back after the State Medical Board of Ohio permanently revoked it over how he allegedly examined female patients.
3News Investigates learned new details about the case after 41-year-old Dr. Zubair Ahmed, of Middleburg Heights, filed records for his appeal on Thursday in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. Last month, the Medical Board ordered the permanent revocation of his license and imposed a $20,000 fine.
The case centers on complaints from three female patients who were examined by Ahmed between September 2021 and November 2022 at Cleveland Clinic's headache center, where he worked until his termination in June 2023.
